Thorong-La PassTrekking in Nepal is an incredible experience and a wonderful way to unwind from the stresses of everyday life. For people who have not trekked before and are perhaps inexperienced in traveling outside of their normal environment, an adventure trek in Nepal may seem a daunting experience. For others who have traveled to Nepal before, it is an experience they need to repeat time and again. In truth most people find trekking extremely rewarding and very much away from the "hum drum" of their normal daily routine. Trekking trails in the Kingdom are rarely flat, however it is uncommon on the majority of treks to be on "the go" for more than six hours a day, this allows plenty of time to experience and relax in a way of life which is normally far removed from our own.

Season: From mid September to the end of May.
Main seasons: Mid September to November......... March to May.

Camping trek:
A day in the mountains follows a natural rhythm, soon after dawn you wake to a steaming cup of bed tea delivered to your tent. Whilst you are planning for the day ahead breakfast is prepared by the cook team. After breakfast you can expect to walk for three or four hours in the morning, before a leisurely lunch followed by another three or so ours in the afternoon. You travel at your own pace along the trails which link Nepal's tiny hamlets many of which are ancient trade routes originating from Tibet. There is generally ample time for photography or other personal interests especially on our less arduous treks. You will be expected to carry a small day sack containing your personal possessions. Evening is a time to relax and catch up on the day. Overnights are spent in large two person tents.

Lodge TrekOn all of our camping treks, we observe the need to tread as lightly as possible. All waste paper is burnt. All other non biodegradable garbage is disposed of appropriately. All water is purified, vegetables are treated with a water iodine base.

Mountain Lodge Trek:
Trekking days are similar to camping treks apart from your meals and sleeping accommodation are provided by lodges on route.
