Rustic Siklis Trek
Maximum altitude : 2580 meters
Duration of trek: 7 days camping
This trek although close to the main trekking region in the Annapurna region is far less developed with very few lodges or guest houses on route. Our destination is the beautiful and extremely well kept Siklis village perched on a hillock at an altitude of 2000 meters.
Siklish is famous for its very well maintained rustic flair and there are few better examples of a traditional Gurung village. Village lanes are narrow, these are flanked by stone & mud houses that are traditionally grouped in a ribbon. The village has five traditional neighborhoods Lama-Thar, Sabha-thar, Harpu-thar, Dhaprang-thar and Gairi-thar each bearing its own significance in the community.
The trek itself is not a difficult one allowing plenty of time to study the wealth of flora and fauna to be found on route. Some wonderful vistas of the Nepal himalaya are also to be had.
