Annapurna Panchase Trek
Maximum Altitude : 2030 meters
Duration of Trek : 7 days camping
This mid-hill region is much less frequented thus providing a more intimate experience of the ethnic diversity of the area.
Panchase has a majestic panorama of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Manaslu (all of which are over 8000m). The village is a popular Nepalese pilgrim destination where locals pay their respects to their ancestors souls and worship the mountain gods. This area is mainly inhabited by the Gurung people, traditional members of the British Gurkha Army.
From Panchase we follow a northern route skirting the popular Ghorepani trail eventually reaching the beautiful village of Ghandruk. The final two days returning to Pokhara are spent on a more frequented trail via Pothana and Dhampus. A relatively easy but very rewarding short trek which is in the main away from people.
