Everest Base Camp & Gokyo Lake Trek

An addition to the Everest Base Camp trek is a trek to the Gokyo Lake. Gokyo is located immediately west of the Khumbu valley, it is much less traveled or developed than the main trail.
The Gokyo valley is dominated at its head by the massive and almost over baring form of Cho-Oyu (8153 meters). From Gokyo we ascend to Gokyo Ri (two hours)for some spectacular views before retracing to Gokyo,we then follow the south easterly trail to Thagnag Kharka
A further two days are spent reaching Lobuche on the main Everest trail.
Lobuche to Kalapatthar takes a further two days via the lateral moraine of the Everest glacier where there are spectacular high mountain views of Everest, Nuptse and Lhotse. Five days are taken retracing to Lukla for the flight back to Kathmandu.

Day 03 : Flight Kathmandu to Lukla - trek Phakding (2610 m.)
Day 04 : Phakding / Namche Bazaar (3446 m.)
Day 05 : Namche bazar rest for acclimatisation
Day 06 : Namche Bazaar / Dole (4200 m.)
Day 07 : Dole / Machchhermo (4470 m.)
Day 08 : Machchhermo / Gokyo (4790 m.)
Day 09 : Excursion to Gokyo Ri trek to Thagnag Kharka
Day 10 : Cross Cho-La pass (5330 m.) descend to Dzongla (4830 m.)
Day 11 : Dzongla / Lobuche (4930 m.)
Day 12 : Lobuche / Gorakshep (5140 m.)
Day 13 : Excursion to Kalapatthar (5545 m.) return to Gorakshep
Day 14 : Gorakshep / Dingboche (4343 m.)
Day 15 : Dingboche / Tyengboche (3867 m.)
Day 16 : Tyengboche / Namche Bazaar (3446 m.)
Day 17 : Namche Bazaar / Phakding (2652 m.)
Day 18 : Phakding / Lukla (2840 m.)
Day 19 : Flight Lukla to Kathmandu
Day 20 : At leisure in Kathmandu
Day 21 : Transfer airport -flight to your onward destination
